The camp will be made available to a total of 14 students. The goal is to have a counselor: camper ratio of 1:3. This will ratio will allow all campers (and counselors) to feel a sense of success. This camp is not just about education, it is about having fun too! Contact: Mike Doddo mdoddo@bcps.org
Summer Drone Camp at Hereford High will be held in the Technology Education the IDEA Labs, (AKA Digital Manufacturing Lab, Maker Space) as part of a community outreach program of Hereford National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) and Hereford Zone Robotics(HZR). New for summer 2020 Drones In The Zone! Participants will learn to program drones to complete various obstacle courses. Fly drones by remote control to shoot video and take pictures. Once they have learned the skills participants will put on headsets and race drones seeing what the drone sees. Campers will also have the chance to use a flight simulator to practice fixed wing flying skills. The IDEA Lab is the home of Herefords’ digital fabrication Makerspace. IDEA is the acronym for Imagine, Design, Engineer, Achieve. The Hereford IDEA Lab is a technical prototyping Makerspace for innovation and invention, providing stimulus for local entrepreneurship. IDEA Fab Lab is also a platform for learning and innovation: a place to play, to create, to learn, to mentor, to invent. The IDEA Lab allows students to turn an idea into a functioning model quickly and efficiently using computers, 3d printers, laser engraver and a CNC machine. This is ‘making’ at it’s best! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2015 Level 2 camp photos >> clickHERE 2015 Level 2 final day camp tournament video > clickHERE 2015 Level 1 camp day5 photos >> clickHERE 2015 Level 1 camp photos >> clickHERE Check out 2014 camp photos >> clickHERE Check out BCPS photos from 2013 camp! >> clickHERE 2013 - photos page FINAL DAY of Camp photos 2012 - photos page 2011- Camp Photos 2011 2011- Final Day Camp photos!
